Embrace the Spiritual Richness of the Caucasus

Embark on a transformative journey to the Caucasus, a vital historic corridor and one of the oldest frontiers of early Christendom.

This unique pilgrimage explores two ancient apostolic traditions that preserved national identity through centuries of foreign rule. You will walk in the footsteps of saints to uncover the distinct theology of the Oriental Orthodox Armenian Apostolic Church—the world’s first state Christian religion founded in 301 AD—and the Eastern Orthodox Georgian Orthodox Church, famous for its haunting, pre-medieval polyphonic liturgical chanting. From exploring UNESCO-listed cliffside monasteries to gazing at the biblical Mount Ararat, this expedition offers an unparalleled encounter with a living, resilient faith.

Beyond the sacred sanctuaries, this journey immerses your senses in the region’s legendary culinary and cultural heritage. You will taste wine crafted using a UNESCO-protected, 8,000-year-old monastic tradition of fermenting grapes in buried clay vessels (qvevris). Your days will be punctuated by the ritual of the Georgian Supra—a traditional feast filled with philosophical toasts—alongside authentic flavors like hot lavash flatbread, cheese-filled khachapuri, and savory mountain dumplings. Traveling into remote alpine valleys where medieval defense towers still stand guard, you will disconnect from the modern rush and return home with a deeply renewed sense of purpose.
